SERVICES PROVIDED

We offer brief screenings to identify potential deficits in speech. After the screening is completed, the Speech Language Pathologist will review the results with you and provide recommendations. If the screening indicates that further assessment is needed, the cost of the screening may be applied toward the cost of the evaluation.  Free screenings will be provided to low-income families. 

 An evaluation is performed by a certified Speech Language Pathologist to determine current strengths and weaknesses. You will receive a complete written evaluation report, complete with formal assessment results, informal observations, background information, and recommendations. 

Based on the results of the evaluation, the Speech Language Pathologist will work with you to develop a customized therapy program to address areas of concern.  Therapy is always based on current research and driven by the needs and interests of our patients. .

Children with oral language impairments are at a greater risk for reading disabilities. By offering exposure during speech therapy, New Beginnings Speech Therapy Solutions can help identify your child's strengths and needs as they relate to their language goals.  We also provide meaningful and engaging therapy and focus on building confidence and self-advocacy skills.  Proficient reading requires integrated skills across decoding and comprehension. Children who are experiencing difficulties with reading may not have a solid foundation of receptive and expressive language skills.

Effective literacy and numeracy interventions are embedded in whole-school approaches to improving literacy and numeracy for all students. We will help challenged students to succeed through effective, evidence-based  intervention strategies.  Early diagnosis and intervention is vital for students at risk of not progressing numeracy learning to eliminate future struggles with increasingly complex and abstract mathematical concepts, 

Our highly experienced IEP Consultant will offer advisement to parents before, during, and after the IEP process.  She will explain what you need to know, what all those forms and paperwork mean, ensure your child receives all services he/she qualifies for, what you and your child are entitled to, and what to ask for, to maximize this crucial time to help your child! Our IEP Consultant will help you navigate the special education system that can often times be confusing and overwhelming for you as the parent!
